Will I learn more about operating a business in financial audit? Thinking about switching from tax, staff 1.

You won’t learn about operating a business in tax or audit at big 4.

I’m a senior 1 in financial audit and although I can’t really speak for Tax I feel as though you’d inherently learn more in audit as you touch more areas of the business... but so much of audit is spent detail testing and constantly moving from audit area to audit area that the actual business operations often get lost. Especially in financial services bc you often have multiple clients and you’re often just trying to get through everything. The best Managers/SMs/Partners I’ve had will take the time to discuss the business’ operations with staff & seniors with the understanding that educating us will help drive good audit work... but sadly this isn’t as common practice as it should be.

Hey! I am actively looking to leave the fashion/retail corporate side of things and move to tech, what are some tips to get the ball rolling and get out?

A little on my background:
-I am in school for HRM- I didn’t have the opportunity to get a degree when I was younger.
-I do a lot of project management currently, and developed a program projected to save $400k for one season, not including cost hourly at warehouse.
-I’m self studying SQL and coding- I have some background in HTML!

Anyone here who went a transition from Development to Testing(Automation)

I have a interest in development but getting a decent hike for an Automation role in a good Product company.

What are your opinions on this?
What can be the challenges I would face or you faced during the transition?
Would it be difficult for me to transition back to development in the future?

Please do answer.
Thanks!

I'm struggling to get into a relationship. I've been trying for at least two years now (I'm in my late twenties), but I don't seem to find a man who's good enough for some reason. I want to settle down soon enough, but I'm also not rushing this or keeping a timeline, because finding the right man is important. I see so many of you guys here in long-term relationships. Does anyone have any tips? Feel free to get into my DMs.
