Will patients need a "COVID passport" to prove that they've tested negative or have a positive serological test?

It may come to that. Particularly as people start going back out into public venues

I think we'll see some variation of covid passports at different levels. Each state will do it differently

Biggest issue right now is not knowing quantitatively the number of antibodies that makes one immune. I’ve seen two cases thus far that have been positive, negative, and are now positive again. Leads me to believe the the negative was possibly a false negative, as we’ve seen patients shed the virus for up to 6 weeks, but I truly don’t know.
Also, now that we are doing antibody testing, a small amount (maybe 10 so far?) have tested + via PCR and then negative for IgG 4 weeks out.
All of this makes me weary of giving anyone a “COVID passport”.
(I’m in NY for reference)

💯 agree! There seems to be a significant enough cohort of people who don’t mount a detectable antibody response

As someone who is not from the UK but lives here, seems like the focus of the COVID conversations boils down to ‘protecting the NHS.’ Shouldn’t the NHS be protecting us though? Sick of lockdowns and there doesn’t seem to be a significant difference in long-term outcome anyway. I feel that we need to be given a risk rating based on certain factors and those in lower risk categories should be allowed to go about their lives and run the economy as usual. Tier 5 sounds awful - I oppose it. Thoughts?

Today my boss demanded that I do a trial with him in 3 weeks on a case I know nothing about. I’m a second year lawyer and with covid have never done a trial. I’m told this is the way of a trial lawyer’s life. I feel like it’s a total lack of respect of me and what I have going on as well as a function of them being chronically understaffed. Any thoughts or advice? I’m thinking of jumping ship.

I've done therapy and it has definitely helped this past year with covid and a marriage separation, starting to feel like I'm making progress and want to keep up the momentum. Looking to see what type of self help others find actually beneficial and would love to use that to help others stuck in burn out too

I interviewed with the hiring manager on Monday and she really liked me and I liked her. On Tuesday I interviewed with the VP who is my bosses boss. That same day, I interviewed with the CMO. I was very tired at that point since it was 8:30 pm and then had been interviewing all day with this company and several others. The thing that threw me off was that the CMO seemed cold and she wouldn’t take off her her COVID mask. Not sure why since she was the only one in the room. Is this a red flag?

What do you all do to make non-professional / personal connections? Particularly with the Coronavirus, and being in domestic relations, I wake up, go to work, work out, go home. So outside of law, my interactions with people are only at the gym given that my area is draining— particularly at the moment. Probably a good thing for now; but if we take coronavirus out of the equation, I’m interested what others in the community do to develop personal connections.

We don't have formal perf reviews like most people seem to have at their company and it's hard for me to have evidence to prove that I should be getting a raise. Anyone have advice about what would work? And I think it might be good just for me to know for my own sake what my manager thinks.

Anyone else having serious COVID fatigue? We have been extremely cautious since the beginning of the pandemic in order to protect our toddler and my at-risk mother.
