Will smaller firms (OW, ADL etc) hire up a level when recruiting from Big 4 or do they see themselves as a lifestyle choice rather than a skills difference?

Hey, I'm working as a Data Architect in Big 4 primarily focusing on informatica power center. I'm looking out for options and as such any data architect positions requires Big Data experience including cloud implementations. I have theoretical knowledge but have not done a full fledged big data project. Any suggestions, how should I go about it?

Any b4 partners contributing to 529 plans? Most plans offer funds that are from restricted entities. How do you navigate that?

This Q is going to spark some debate. Are the following ranges for average comp for partner with 2-3 YOE accurate? (Not meant to diminish any firms!)

Group 1 - MBB, Tier 2 - Kearney, LEK etc, “deep specialists” - ZS, OW etc: $750k - $1.5M
Group 2: B4, “broad specialists” - Navigant, W. Monroe etc: $400-600K
Group 3: Regional - North Highland, Point B etc: $250-400K

I recently got a verbal from B4 firm but have yet to receive the written (going on 2 weeks now). I have recently received another verbal offer from a different B4 firm. How should I negotiate with the original firm for more $?
What would you say? This is my first time switching jobs so fairly new.

Help me evaluate an industry offer for a B4 manager up for SM (got confirmation that I am thru the process). Current base is $171k .
$180k base, $35k sign-on bonus, full relocation, 35% bonus - 20% cash and 15% equity - 15% equity bonus is assured forever with 3 year vesting. Cash bonus fixed as long as rated average. Overall happy with offer but want to evaluate it against possible growth if I stay at B4.

Any advice / coping mechanisms for dealing with anxiety? I’ve never been to a therapy but I want to start. Also thinking about getting more into yoga and meditation.
