Need some advice on my next career move. I'm 31, have an MBA and am currently a SC in Risk Advisory with no M&A experience. I am good at risk consulting work but don't find it very challenging or interesting. That said, I expect to get promoted to M next year.

Recently, I interviewed with another Big 4 firm for SC in CDD M&A team and have got an offer. I enjoyed doing the CDD case study, and I believe I'd do well in the role.

I have an offer from Oracle. The designation mentioned in offer letter is "Member Technical Staff." In the email it was also mentioned as "Senior Software Developer". But I interviewed for Senior Automation QA. Does my job role match my designation?

Joined an UMM fund a few months back and things have been pretty lax and we haven’t pursued a new platform yet. I haven’t really got to fully own a workstream yet and instead am more task focused and just do what my VP tells me. It feels a lot different than BCG where it was all about ownership and I’m worried I’m falling behind the learning curve. Any folks have a perspective to share on this?

What gig would you prefer? Qual research at a HF or portfolio ops in PE? Similar AUM (mid to high single digit Bs)

Which MF values their Ops team? Hear a lot about “getting treated like second class citizen.” Does that just mean they get paid slightly less (and also work much less I heard), or are they actually not valued by the deal team?
