It might be great. More hiring and flexibility on location.

my team had a fairly successful wfh intern this summer. (already made an offer to hire her after graduation). that said... it might be more difficult if you are a new grad with not much prior experience wanting a full time position immediately.

I’ve been accepted to a M7 deferred MBA program where I have the option to enroll within the next 2-5 years. My plan is to enroll in ~2 years and I’m curious to hear if anyone has advice on how to plan for it financially. My firm has tuition reimbursement but it’s taxed so I’ll have to pay ~30% of tuition once I return. For living expenses, would you recommend that I start hoarding cash in anticipation for the program or should I invest now and take out loans when the time comes?

I want to move into management and I have been told the generic advice of "Act like you have the role already and then get it". I am not afraid of working hard, but I keep thinking this just serves the company in getting someone who does manager work for not manager pay. Is this just me? How have other people proved they are ready for a manager role?

I’m currently interviewing for a community operations specialist role at Stripe. m a current student with professional exp and prior degree in FashionMerc…I did the career change during the pandemic I have 1 yr of exp and close to completing AA in networks admin… currently working on a pilot program w ALOt of down time … I’ve been thinking about leaving because am not learning as much as I would like too… am getting more exposure to systems and cloud computing through my classes should I aggressively be applying else where or stick it out until they can promote me?

Let’s say I want to get into pentesting and CEH - where would you advise starting if my experience is minimal? I know my way around things but not much scripting or too heavy network experience. Downloaded Kali on a VM to get some tools, but let’s say you could advise me of a training course/package to start with - what would it be, and from where? My current job is going to let us pick something, and while my answer would be to go to DEFCON 😂 that’s obviously not gonna happen this year.

New grads seem to be making $300k pretty easily almost right off the bat. It took me and most people I know much longer to reach that point. Is there an age thing at play? Or just inflation lol.
