Corporate profits are at ath, and the 0.0001 are still magnitudes wealthier than your average white collar worker. No bubble imo unless there is a recession

As a person with 4YOE making considerably more than people in consulting careers- there isn’t a salary bubble. Most young ppl who make that kind of money bring in greater revenues / value to their companies.

The highest paid non-value added jobs will get cut first in a downturn. It’ll be hard to move during those times as well, companies will expect you to walk on water for the same price. Specific knowledge will be always in demand (if you can do what 100 others cannot)

Are there women here that have a significantly larger income than their male partner/ spouse? My husband used to make a little more money 10 years ago when we first met (when we were both making under 60k). Then I started climbing a fast track career ladder and now make a total comp of close to 300k and he is still under 80k... (which is totally fine with me btw). But I have noticed that this has caused a lot of serious issues for our relationship. any advice?

Started at a new firm in September. The firm sent me my pro rated hours requirement for the year. It includes no ramp up period (like, for example, it doesn’t factor in that my first week was full of mandatory systems trainings, etc). I was told there’s no expectation I must hit the goal, but it feels like maybe there’s an unspoken expectation that I do. Any thoughts? I’ll need to bill just over 8 hours a day from now to December 31 to make it. Doable but the bonus is also pro rated.
