Aww! I feel bad for teachers. I am just an Assistant Teacher from West Virginia and moved toTennessee trying to get a job in Nashville where there is almost no communication with the board other than if I am not a Para Pro I cannot work in classrooms. I have been working 11 years in classrooms. But my true love is in Kindergarten as a classroom aide to all the children and to assist the Lead Teacher in preparing materials and and to support her. Here they did away with this and require one one one. It kills me to not be able to engage with the whole class and support the teacher I always am drawn to struggling students to help any way I can. Though I HAVE BEEN HERE 3 months and still no job because I just received the information and links after school started to getting prepared for the exam in a week. I hate starting in a new classroom after the kids have started back. I feel like I am trying to go from Kindergarten to College with Algebra and Geometry in just a couple of weeks. If anyone has any good advice I welcome it. But I feel like I came down here with the armor and was hit in the face with the proverbial arrow.

Partner got a huge win for our client and the attorney who went to the hearing with him (she has done literally nothing on this case and is slightly above me in rank at the firm) included all of the senior partners and office staff that assisted on the case in her big public announcement post…..and not me…..who worked around the clock for a whole week writing an appellate brief for her for that case while she openly played golf.🙃

Anyone have tips for asking for more than you think you're worth? Because of the employment market there's a job which is about a 20K jump for me but it's been open for a year so I'm pretty sure I can get something additional out of them. Would it be appropriate to ask for 10K above the jump? Or should I just count my blessings and leverage my ability to underprice other applicants

Hi! I'm currently doing a part time remote Job for an American company as a graphic designer. I'm still in college and am planning to hold this job for atleast 2 years till my graduation. I wanted to know if a part time job counts as a valid YOE or will it be seen to be less than a full time job?
