Yeah, because a firm should value analysts who intend to leave after 2 years more than it values the 15-20 year professional who holds the client relationships that generate revenue.
@BAML1, if analysts weren't burnt out so quickly, they'd stay longer. The actual work and comp aren't bad, it's the quantum and hours that cause the churn. In the case of coverage, it would also be better for the client as the whole team would better understand the account instead of having a new analyst and associate come onto it every few months/year or so.
