Google code that does what you're trying to accomplish and then try to understand it line by line. Have a more experienced programmer critique your code and show you how to make it better. Also know that the macro recorder can help you find the functions you need, but it writes super shitty code.

I prefer to just not use VBA at all. Anything that people might be inclined to use VBA for can be done a hundred times better and cleaner using R, or Python.

@Barclays 1 feel that VBA is better for making spreadsheets user-friendly/ perform repetitive Excel operations instead of data cleaning or so.....
