“During Ramadan early morning meetings will be tough for me. Also in the evening, I need to block off 1 (or 2) hours around sunset so I can break my fast.” Then be ruthless about protecting that time, but realizing you still have to get your work done, so there might be some lack of sleep after taraweeh or whatever. Depending on my relationship with my manager or team I’ll usually mention my productivity will likely go down. Just be honest and straightforward, and you’ll have to constantly remind people “sorry, I’m not going to make that 6pm checkout unless you want to see me stuffing my face”
Interested to hear what people have to say since this is going to be my first Ramadan working iA
I usually block time after 6 PM and say I will not be available
I spoke to my manager/ partner last year 3/4 month in advances that they put me on a chill project for a month and I ll make it up to them. We had a working relationship of a 8+ months so I was on a very very chill 3 weeks. 1 week was hard but thats it
Rising Star
I tend to keep it the same work hours. It's hard, but I tend to pull through.
