Ours has been great to be a part of. They are good at keeping you in the know about legislation that effects you, retirement, current trends, etc... Also, if you ever have trouble, there may be legal help included. I've never needed it, but it's such a comfort to know it's there!

You need to join the union despite strikes. They will protect you if you’re sued. Your district or county won’t back you if they believe you’re guilty. The union keeps an amount of insurance to cover if you’re sued

My state doesn’t recognize unions. We have associations. Absolutely worth joining for the legal department support alone. Everything else is frosting on the cake for me.

I LOVE my union. The benefits are boundless! Liability insurance, contract negotiations, networking with passionate professionals, and invaluable professional development opportunities are just a few of the things that make me pro-union for life!

Anyone ever dealt with fraud at Marcus? Had to call three times to get them to even initiate the process, now I have to mail in a written statement, and it can take up to 45 days for a decision. My university credit union can take care of this online in an hour. Had Marcus two years no complaints, but current setting up HM Bradley.
