With tesla hitting a trillion market cap, crypto hitting all time highs, general marketing rallying, and real estate peaking, my immediate circle of educated professionals’ wealth is at all-time highs. With it, the price of everything is also peaking. Is this changing people’s FIRE numbers?

I think it’s too soon to tell. I doubt inflation is “transitory,” but we’ll have a better sense of in two years or so.

The government spending, people not going back to work, and technology displacing jobs are also bad news bears for the long run.

The market is up like 20% in the past year (more in crypto and real estate). Inflation is 5% at its peak last few months?

Unless you had some pretty fantastically optimistic #s in your outlook you should still be way ahead of plan.

How is Tesla worth more than all other car maker in the world combined. Tesla has a long head start but their competition is starting to heat up. Of the existing car companies, I think BMW is the closest competitor with iX and i4. Audi and MB are also releasing new EVs and Rivian looks awesome. I think Model S sales will crash with the new competition if they don’t do something to update it and the Tesla truck is ridiculous. Model 3 will continue to be their sales leader but their model of not changing cars for 10 years won’t work as well there.

The valuation of Tesla has nothing to do with the cars.
It's Elon, it's the narrative, it's Tesla, Tesla Solar and SpaceX all wrapped up with a big fan boy bow.

Had my 401k in all VINIX last year, and it served me well. I rebalanced to 20% large cap, 20% mid cap, 20% small cap, 20% Int’l, and 20% bonds. The Int’l diversification is pulling me down significantly. Would you shift that 20% back to large cap or just say it will payoff later to diversify? My IRA is pretty tech heavy, so trying to be mindful.
