With the new variant of COVID becoming more of an issue will we have the option again to be excused from inventory counts due to anxiety of contracting the virus? I was recently asked to conduct a count but do not feel comfortable with the new strain.

Your health is the most important matter. If you don’t feel comfortable, you should say so. This is a just job. Not worth risking your health

Good call. I am going to try this to get out of my weekend count

What a good look for a 1st or 2nd year. Lol

Unless you are in complete isolation in your normal life out of virus concerns, then do your job

You’re still bubbling? The new strain isn’t even here… stop watching CNN and live your life.

Yeah ignore all the managers rolling their eyes. There is a massive shortage of talent rn, just push back say you’re uncomfortable and get your way. No need to take crap from anyone for the sake of your health.

“People have different comfort levels regarding different things” now everyone go get your vax or you’re a bad person.

They will still ask you to do inventory count, you will have to do them virtually. When COVID first came out, I had to do them virtually and there was no getting out of them since there was no risk to your well-being

GT1 - thanks for your concern, but I'm an adult so I'm perfectly okay.

Your health comes first. If you feel worried in any way, decline. Last December, I performed an inventory count. I was worried but didn’t say anything and went to the count. The founder and his wife was there and greeted me. AS HE SHOOK MY HAND, told me he had COVID. He then told me the media is all hype and nothing will happen. I, too, contracted COVID shortly after and it’s been 12 MONTHS since I’ve been able to taste anything. Everything tastes like trash. I’ve lost so much weight and am so sick from it still. Your health comes before a job. If you’re concerned, listen to yourself.

Did you leave immediately?? Omg that’s terrible

You can say you’re not comfortable and then you get out on a virtual PIO only list. There’s a specific email you have to send it to and it’s part of the PwC PIO information that they attach. I did since I’m immunocompromised due to the medication I have to take.

You’ll be fine.

GT1 is shot. Kid just don’t want to work. Hate to see it!

Are you vaccinated?

Just use it as an excuse and have them deal with it, HR will say you don’t have to do it.

Ugh oh - you just opened a can of worms. Good luck mate!
