Hi All!
I am currently a Senior Software Engineer(Backend) with 4 YOE. My current CTC is 21LPA (All Fixed) with additional Yearly bonus. I got a call from Google (Pune/Bangalore/Remote) for Software Engineer - Backend. I have the following doubts but any insights are welcome -
1. Does the lower designation offered make any difference?
2. Kinda ambiguous, but what kind of hike or ballpark pay can I expect?
3. Any similar interviews experiences or focus areas I should prepare for?

Happy Sport kind of morning.
I agree it’s probably overkill for now given they’re not getting a lot of use and will stop the winding. That said, it’s definitely not a waste to have a winder if you have more than 1-2 watches and like to rotate them on a daily basis. I don’t want to be setting time and dates on a daily basis.

Are any of them hard to set like a perpetual calendar? If not, just take them out, it’s at best a waste and at worst excess wear.

Yeah, and also if you’ve put you watches in a winder for a month you need to reset the time anyways. If it runs +2 sec/day fast, which is pretty good for most watches, after a month you’re a minute fast.

The level of “concern” depends on the watch to a large degree. A Rolex should be able to live on a winder for a decade without an issue. Something not as robust may be acquiring unnecessary wear. There’s an age-old debate on whether winders are good or bad; I personally use them because I like the convenience, but I only keep modern watches in it and they’re almost always Rolexes.
I have 7 winder spots but only use 3 at the moment, for my 3 most-worn watches (No Date Submariner for weekends, and an Exp 1 and OP39 White for the work week), but then again I’m going into the office 3-4 times per week.
I forced myself to start wearing a watch when I was full-time WFH (DJ36 - comfy little thing); so perhaps pull a watch into your WFH routine and just store the rest.
The All-Stars:
That’s what I figured as well. All my watches are solid movements (Rolex, Omega, AP) but the risk probably isn’t worth it if I know they aren’t going to get daily wear. I can reset time/dates as I pull them out.
