With WFH, I like to take quick naps (15 min) 2-3 times in between my schedule. I have been working very long hours (14-15 hours a day). I will miss my naps, the healthy snacks (I try to eat salads) and the quick workouts the most when wfh gets over. What will you miss the most?

Time with baby and mid day cuddles. 😍 By far the biggest thing and the greatest work perk. Dishes / laundry during break time so I can have free time in the evenings. Coffee with spouse. Lax grooming standards and relaxed clothing - hair in a bun, lounge wear, nails undone, not shaving, comfy socks / house slippers. Focus time. My monitor setup and desk how I like it, next to a window in a private room. 5 minute commute. Not having to sit straight, show face and act professional when I'm not on Zoom. Not sharing microwave or bathroom with anyone. Naps. Snacks. Work from sofa. Flexibility to jump to baby mid day if needed and work after 8pm instead. Easily pumping at my desk instead of running to a nursing room. Or getting to breastfeed in middle of the day. Coffee the way I like it. Meals at reasonable times and always fresh instead of eating in the car while commuting or cold boxed lunches. Midday walks with my dog and baby. Need I go on? The list is endless.

As horrible as the pandemic has been, WFH during pregnancy and baby has been the greatest blessing ever.

Waking up and starting work within 5 min. I am NOT a morning person. I will work until 2 am no problem but getting up at 7 kills me.

Not sitting in 60-90 min of traffic daily. Being able to sleep in till 6:30-6:45, ok sometimes 7 am. Being able to get a peloton ride in the middle of the day and shower in the afternoon.

I don’t think wfh is going anywhere. That said , short walks with my dogs mid day , quick sbux if I need coffee instead of crappy office coffee , athleisure 24/7 , walking away from my desk without judgment.

I hope I never have to go to an office again. I can’t deal with the driving anymore. Traffic has gotten so bad where I live !

How often do you talk to your staff and director? Started a new job in industry and we are still WFH. I’m still pretty new and would normally stop by to talk to people. We don’t have regular team meetings. So I guess Skype message is my only option, but check in once a week? This is outside of work emails, just to chat. I don’t want to be annoying and want to get to know my new coworkers. Any advice appreciated for this introvert.

Hi there - my company is returning to office next month. Hybrid to begin before they ramp up to 5 days back in office by end of year. I think the fact they want to bring us back 5 days is disrespectful considering how much work we’ve put in remotely over the last year. Not to mention productivity studies say people who WFH (and have no kids) are substantially more productive. All that being said, does anyone work at a FinTech/Tech company whose RTTO policy is more flexible? Looking to leave

Hi everyone, Is £48k a decent salary in London? That's roughly 3k net/month. I'm a 27M, single. I'm thinking of renting a room for 750/800 a month, that leaves me with ~£2100, if I get the Oyster card that's another 150, and for groceries/going out I guess I won't need more than 600/month. That allows me to save ~£1400/month. Am I being too optimistic/unrealistic? Thanks!
