In my client’s eye, everything is “the absolutely number one priority”. The list is endless 😵‍💫

I would call them out and ask them which is actually the priority. Their communication and prioritization sucks.

Hmm client delivery, well-being, capability development, pursuits, supporting inclusivity/community… each is top priority - plus networking, which usually isn’t#1 unless it’s promo year. Oh and don’t forget to make sure all admin stuff (timesheets, independence, expenses, pto, trainings) is solid because that’ll actually affect your bonus $ and reviews..

Hmm. It depends on the sense of urgency and how it would affect the company in general. You can call them if it is urgent or email if not.

Currently struggling with lack of motivation. I’m in my 3rd year at my firm and when I started I was hitting 9+ billable per day before I left the office. Now, the saying: when there’s no consequence for poor work ethic, and no reward for good work ethic, there is no motivation” hits home. My issue is less with the fact that the word “luscious” is pretty binary. The drizzle is either luscious or it isn’t. My issue is the “a little more” part. So, it’s luscious right now. We want it MORE luscious—but definitely not a lot more, just a little. Otherwise it would be TOO luscious. Can’t have that.
