I worked hard at a small agency and was promoted from AE to AS after only 8 months in the industry. I had to leave and found a contract position as an AS at a large agency. I am finishing my contract and my boss offered me a permanent position, but wants me on as an AE. I am open to the AE position, but they are unwilling to compromise on the AE salary which is a substantial cut from my salary at my former agency and 45% of my contract pay. What do I do? Do I leave if I feel I deserve more?
Possibly a dumb question from an intern but why do people go into specific software jobs? For example kpmg has oracle, workday, Salesforce, etc. I see this being super dead end unless you plan to work in that software forever and move up that way. I don’t see many exit opps and personally doesn’t seem fun to work on one software everyday. Please let me know if missing something
Anyone work in Accenture in Northern Europe able to speak a little about the recruiting process or potentially give a referral?
Any AEs deal with public speaking anxiety? I had some when I was younger, then was fine and had no issues for years, and have been hitting my numbers. Out of nowhere it's come back with a vengeance, and I have had issues where I am having mini panic attacks on calls with my boss/presentations/team calls. It's scaring me a bit and I am wondering if anyone else has been through something similar and how they dealt with it.

How is your medical system deciding how to vaccinate healthcare providers, nurse and ancillary staff for Covid 19? Ours seems to be worried about optics and prioritizing is unclear to many of us who completed the attestation and willing to get vaccinated. While the rest of the country have started to vaccinate, we have yet to start vaccinations until tomorrow.
For those of you who attended an MBA program, what did you do when you were not in the classroom? Besides traveling, partying, studying/homework, interviewing, etc. Were you often attending events to network, getting lunch with faculty, enjoying a hobby, something else? Thanks!
Any suggestions on how to find referral for FAANG/MBB? Tried message recruiter on LinkedIn not much reply:(
Hi everyone! I'm looking to leave the consulting world but don't know where to start. I live in the DMV so everything is government and/government consulting. I'm looking for a place that has an international presence that will help me expand my world view. Also looking for a place where I feel that the intersection of my race and gender is a welcoming attribute....done with the microaggressive attitudes that leads to psychological torture the consulting world has to offer.
Not a points question, but what are some top resorts in the South? Need to find someplace to get away with the Mrs (sans kids) for a few nights when this all blows over.
My toddler’s class at daycare has a child whose sibling tests positive for COVID today. I feel sorry for that family but at the same time, I’m wondering what should I do. Is it better to keep my toddler at home or it would be safe enough to send her back to daycare?
Can I afford a 2k rent stabilized luxury studio on a 75k salary? Trying to justify rent since it’s in midtown west😭
Was invited to apply for a lateral in another group at my company - transactional (I’m in lit now). I have a lot of experience in what I do now and am getting good development opportunities within my group. However, I’ve been passed over for a deserved promotion 3 times and am doing work two salary bands above where I am now. I enjoy the transactional work even though I have less experience in it, and it would be a great resume builder. I am not great with risk taking/change. Wwyd?
Need advice/tips please: how do you prepare yourself when you return to work after taking parental leave. I'm just back to work from family leave. I've been out for months and need some time to catch up with the team. In order to make a smooth transition, here are some actions that I'm taking: 1. read company latest news/team priority updates 2. setting future goals 3. bringing up projects I'd like to be considered for Anything else? If you were my director, what would you expect from me?
