Mastercard here: 6y9m of experience. Joined this week. According my manager as well as one of my friends, the WLB is pretty good. I was in Amdocs prior to this and the WLB was crap. My manager tried to shield the team as much as he could from the unnecessarily long hours, but the thing is the king hours weren't unnecessary. Most people were working to the point of burning out. People from across the globe were putting in very long shifts and we had to too. But thanks to our manager, we had it better off than a lot of other teams.

Glad that you asked. Lately I've only seen negative reviews here on the WLB of bigger companies. Mine goes like this and I'll explain why: Comp: CitiusTech Healthcare, Desig: Healthcare Business Analyst-II (promoted this year after I missed it out last year due to joining month), YOE: 4.2 years, Work hours: Very flexible (4-6-8 on an average). I'm part of a team that has a good client relationship, onshore team members handle after 8 pm IST work, we only have a few weeks of 10-11 hours of work out of the year. I just additionally contribute to Consulting tasks, that's also when I'm done with project work early during the day. Hope this helps! This doesn't help me as I'm comfortable with the work now and confused if I should leave this WLB (for a better CTC) and move to a "grind" workplace now 😂

EY, Director, Consulting, 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM with a few breaks in between. At least 6+ additional hours during weekends as well. WFH is not a suitable model for our work profile, as it neccesiates participation in lots of low output calls. Also, you sleep with lots of carry forward stress....

I really feel that the work culture at zs is really toxic. Everyday I see people who take pride in extending their shifts! I joke with my family members that these dudes will never get married😂😂😂…who will want to marry a robot😂

Clearly, WITCHes going to win 😂 High earnings(after many switch), 2-3hrs work(Repeated tasks), Average hike(5-10%), Onsite opportunities(If you stay in the same account for 3years), Dependency creation, Demands work from home forever, Part time/Freelancing jobs. Waaaah😜 I can type some more but enough😬

If you get the onsite opportunity don't go and roam around, somehow try to grab projects and come back to India else use your onsite friends. I feel pity for Big4 guys and some others. Work smart guys🤝

I feel you bro. Nice way to console yourself, by trying to compare with others. 😅 No matter how many people they recruit, WLB at ZS is a myth 😢

Partners are so useless. Do budgeting without even knowing the efforts needed. Down in the ladder suffers for this.

Amazon, frontend engineer, 3.5 YOE, usually check in by 11:30 AM for stand up. Working hours vary time to time. Sometimes it's hardly 2-3 hrs a day. Other times it's 6-7 hrs a day, depending on the deliverables.

Deloitte USI, Sr consultant,9 years, flexible timings. I prefer to work in 2-3 hours blocks as I have short attention span😁, and spend break time with family. I make sure to block my calendar during break times. On any usual day, work timings would be from 10 am to 12.30pm, 3 pm to 5 pm, 7pm to 10pm. Before logging off, plan my next day calendar for 15 minutes.

Does Deloitte hires anyone from engineering background other than CS/IT?

I have been following this thread since past few days and I think I'm in worse situation. I'm seeing my peers getting handsome salaries in CS/IT field, abroad and here I'm getting 5.5lpa in core engineering industry with very good WLB but still not satisfied with my life. Is it enough?? I'm getting sleepless nights, dealing with anxiety and doubting myself whether or not I'm doing better, am I on right path? I want to make a way in consulting/Analyst roles so that I can make some decent money.

Thank you guys. If this is it, I'd explore some options for online degrees and invest in myself by learning new technologies which suits my area of interest. I had done some certification courses in ML a few years ago, I'll try to learn and get the certification in the same field.Meanwhile I'll be having any doubts I'll post here or dm you. Do you have any specific degree or certificate in mind which can help me? How can I make my way? Your suggestions are welcomed
