My boss thinks the rest of the group is what is causing her to work long hours, but it’s her. She’s the only reason I wasn’t able to take any time off this past Friday, while the rest of the group did. She keeps acting confused too. “So and so asked me if we are taking a half day and I said haha when do we ever.” And yet anyone who doesn’t work with her took a half day off. What to do.... the work wasn’t urgent in the slightest, she just wouldn’t leave me alone.

What’s everyone’s opinions on JavaScript nowadays? JavaScript has progressed a lot, mostly still requiring a transpiler to use modern features (i.e. optional chaining and null coalescing). It has previously and still seems to catch a lot of hate, while simultaneously getting more popular in server environments (Node), on native iOS/Android devices (react native), and for desktop apps (electron). It’s not my favorite language but I think it’s much more mature and enjoyable to write now. Thoughts?

Do they travel for projects across Europe or are they regionally restricted to specific countries? Do they travel for assignments globally? US? I’m looking for the ‘average’ MBB consultant experience. Personally, I’m keen on traveling across the EU for projects as opposed to just staying put in one country

Are west coast tech. firms way richer than we think they are bc they’re sitting on a bunch of valuable equities/warrants? Would love to learn more about this. I’ve heard it’s not uncommon for startup companies to compensate law firms in this way for their services. If Company gets huge and value of the stock goes up a few years later, and correct me if I’m wrong, but for purposes of accounting, this wouldn’t count towards the firm’s revenues which is one of the biggest AmLaw metrics, right?
