Is it seriously already spring break week?
How many hours/week do associates at KPMG Strategy work? I saw a recent video from Firm Learning that suggested associates/consultants at KPMG work ~50 hr/wk. I understand projects vary and that has everything to do with workload, just curious if this ~50/week avg is reflective of anyones experience at KPMG.
Just give two weeks notice and leave--between projects is the perfect time. If your firm keeps selling to that client, you'd roll off at some point eventually anyways. PwC will live on
Sounds like a perfect time to leave. This gives your firm some time to replace you. Believe it or not, there are surely others at PwC that could fill the role just as well as you (if not better)!
This can't be said enough to these posts: the firm doesn't care about and will replace you. Look out for your career and what you need/want to make of it.
I would suggest you put you and your needs first. Take the position and don’t let them make you feel guilty. If they offer more money now, know you won’t get an increase or bonus at end of year. Leadership will always hold it against you even if they say they won’t. Don’t look back only forward. Loyalty on either side doesn’t exist anymore.
Loyalty is overrated. Take care of yourself .
It’s tough to hear, but you are replaceable. And between waves like this is actually a good time
Feel like if my salary was jacked up, I’d be very tempted to stay, but it would poison me in the eyes of partners.
