Wondering how expense audits work when you don’t need receipts for little things like a meal after working 12+ hours. If I’m audited will I be going through all my accts to find/match the receipts?

What if you paid with paper money?

Surely.

You are still expected to keep the receipts and produce them in the event of an audit

D2-you are not required to have or keep receipts under $75 or where you use the corporate card.

BCG1, then you get fired.

Yea its the under $75 things i worry about - if i paid cash or just didnt keep the receipt since i didnt need to submit it, am i going to be out of loads of money? Or do they not ask for the under $75 ones? Easiest thing would be that i from now on submit all receipts no matter how little but dont love the effort /time suck

At a former company, they let you expense $20 for working 10+ hours in a day, but you could never use it because it would always be rejected. Recently started at a new firm, and I had a rough week last week (two 14+ hour days). New firm has a similar policy, so I asked. Was told not to submit the $20 reimbursements. Just as I was about to get frustrated, he told me I should get dinner for my wife and me. Only rule was to keep it under $100. Don't like working 14 hour days, but this was nice.

To con't the conversation on engagement rings💍 - what do they symbolize to you? My BF and I got into a discussion about this last night. He views them as an investment and an "asset" on the books for his future family. He also has grandparents who had to finance their trip to America by selling their jewels. I see the ring as more of a gift to the future bride that is an expense that can be sold for money if needed, but isn't an investment. I'm fine w/ lab grown, he is not. Thoughts?

Hey guys. I have a soon to be nonprofit church struggling because they already started services (collecting offerings too against my advice) before things were set with an EIN and they gave an event already planned out and are trying to find a way to spend and collect before the things are in order. They want to know if one of their small business owners can expense and collect then consider it a donation. Is this possible? Any advice or loopholes that are Legal and will avoid issues later on?

I’ve been at a startup for a month now. I’m pretty certain my co-manager has been purposely withholding information from me when I ask for clarity on a process or general company information. Other than that, I like my role and company so far. What’s the best way to approach a situation like this? Pretty certain it’s because of insecurity and wanting to look better but I really am not a fan of these antics and it makes me question how long I want to stay here.

Deciding between Insead and oxford mba . Constantly hearing that INSEAD is a tier 1 school where Oxford is second tier . After speaking with alumni , seems like Insead alum are the most passionate too . Living in Singapore and France is a huge plus . Oxford has prestige and is more than just a business school. Their social / ethical take on mba seems to resonate with me a lot more . The alumni seem to choose career paths similar to fields of what I want to do .
