I have not experienced this but I'm wondering if you need to change the nipple flow to a higher number so it's not so difficult to suck

Hmmm haven’t thought about this. Okay I’ll try it out and see. Thanks so much!

My baby was like this for almost a month. He would feed like he’s never been fed before. He had a huge appetite too, about 4oz a feed.
The doc asked us to hold him upright instead of letting him lay on our lap while feeding. She also asked us to pause feeding in between to allow him to swallow.
The issue happens when they swallow too much and forget to breathe, mostly that it’s not coordinated yet.
We also used a slow flow nipple so he learns to slow down.
It does get better with time.

He uses a slow flow nipple now but I have been feeding him in a more 45 degree angle. I’ll try the upright instead as you mentioned and hope that helps. Thank you!
My newborn does this with every bottle feeding, we pop out the bottle (sideways for easy detach, rather than straight out) every 10mls to make her slow down, and we burp her every 30mls (1oz)

Will try this as well. Thanks so much for sharing!
Normal. My second fed hourly and almost as much as you described. He had 15+ wet nappies a day!! (Breastfed though). Upright feeding position helps a lot!

Wow! Okay good to know it’s normal. 🙂🙂
