Looking for everyone's opinion. How often is reasonable to respond to a parent when they are emailing multiple times a day? I have a special ed colleague that has a parent emailing multiple times a day asking a dozen or more questions daily. My gut tells me to go although she is lovely, in so many ways but I have a child and she has a child. We started back in August in distance learning mode, core subjects only. So no STEM classes. One of our 8th grade teachers was out on maternity leave, so I was asked to take that spot for the first semester. I was a long time 5th grade teacher, so not a difficult adjustment, except for learning new to me digital curriculum.

FTM halfway through my maternity leave and i feel like I need to do something productive on a regular basis that’s unrelated to baby or the house. Okay I know this is a long shot but…I’m trying to find a kids book about dealing with a family member in a wheelchair, ideally a grandparent. A lot of books I see online are about kids in wheelchairs and how ‘they can do anything just like you’. My MIL is wheelchair bound and essentially a quadriplegic, and it makes my 5 year old incredibly uncomfortable. Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated!
