I just got an email from a recruiter from Google!

He said that the position is in the Bay Area or New York. I haven’t replied the email. I don’t think we can move to those cities, but I don’t want to lose this opportunity. Does anyone know if Google does remote jobs within US?
I've worked at the same engineering firm for 4 years. I'm currently making $161k with only a $750 bonus, but excellent vacation (4 weeks, cash out anytime, rolls over indefinitely), 45 hours a week. I have an interview with a recruiter at Guidehouse this week for a Technical Project Manager role. It seems to be focused in the government space and requires a security clearance. What sort of salary and benefits could I expect for this sort of role at Guidehouse?

I honestly would state it plainly to them, just as you have done here. Have they not been alarmed at all, by the increase in turnover?
Our turnover has been very low, so they don’t seem concerned and the people who are leaving are also stating other reasons too. It’s a struggle…
Show them the evidence. Aka the employees who cited having to return to the office as the reason they quit, and messages from candidates who asked about remote work and were no longer interested when they realized they had to come into the office. Dealing with a bit of this where I am as well and the easiest thing for me to do is stop trying to convince them (I'm younger and there's a huge "you'll learn when you're older mentality in my office) and just start showing them how it's making us lose candidates and money, and making the company look bad and outdated in the long term. Get statistical if you have to. Good luck!
