Woohoo Monday morning airport scramble: an ode to the 5 minute pack job at 5:00am, a tribute to my Black car (“I’m late!”), & an unspoken prayer for quick TSA lines and convenient last second bagels.

Amen brother 🙏

Ditto...kind of :) I woke up to the alarm that tells me I should be getting in my Uber...so the thanks are due to packing and laying out clothes the night before and having exactly a fifteen minute window on my airport timing...should still have 2 min to buy a bottle of water :)

Anyone in the community working at Alvarez and Marsal in London who would be open to chat and maybe referral?

Currently a manager at UK Big4 in AAS/FAAS/CMAAS. Don’t mind the technical side of the house, but really enjoy the deals and high data side of the jobs when working with FDD. Based on the business, TAG might be the ‘easiest’ to transfer most of my skills, but open for insights from the other service lines.

So I'm new to IT field and got only 1 year experience in automation testing using Tosca, I got training in java and selenium and I studied selenium myself in free time to learn more in testing, I'm thinking to make a switch next year. How much of a pay raise should I expect? And can I get referrals for QA engineers from companies like Accenture or TCS or other big tech companies? I'm a newbie so it'll be helpful if someone could guide me thanks

Has anyone used a tech consultant or an outside tech provider that helps you set up your firm or serves as an outside IT department? This may just be my wishful thinking, but would love if I could find someone to fill this role for my firm.

Have a coworker who volunteers for work but never ends up doing it. At what point does it make sense to go to the partner to address this? We’re both midlevels, and I’m tired of having to put in even more time every weekend to pick up his slack. If this were a junior, I’d address it with them first, but this is unacceptable from a fifth/sixth year.

I’m in talks with management about being a candidate for a new position, Project Manager. This would be a promotion for me; however, a member of my team indicated the company may not want to increase compensation for this role even though I would have more responsibilities. It was even stated that “They may even want to fire people who asked for more money.” I am staggered. Do you advice for me? Should I look elsewhere? Any referrals? Any insight/assistance appreciated.
