Work at a company/group with lots of “polish” (ex-MBB/consulting/PE/ib/top schools/etc) or work at a company/group with less “polish” (mixed collection of backgrounds, more on-ground experience)? Pros and cons?

What is the exit pay after 2/3 years at top strategy - MBB, LEK, OW, etc?
I got an offer for 90k plus bonus for an in-house strategy role - is this good or bad (pretty much same base as current with less bonus).

Non MBB, finishing fin/acct MBA and looking to pivot into banking/pe. 10 yrs sales prior in unrelated field. 20 yrs military. MBA is non target school since military/state funded programs are free.

Any advice on where to start looking that is realistic? I'm not willing to hump 80 hours next to a 22 yr old undergrad for the same pay, but also 100% understand I'm taking a huge side step in this hopeful transition

My offer letter was released twice because of mismatch in experience by HR.
