Can someone give me perspectives on this? PA used to be attractive despite low pay high hours due to its fast path (promotions) & fringe benefit like work from home, parental leave, ect. (To be cont)
To managers/leads who mandate “late nights” in the office-why do you do it? Even if we are behind, some of us prefer getting in early or have family obligations. Plus, one can also work from home
I have a dilemma: If you had 2.5 years as a recruiter, mixture of agency and corporate, what which opportunity would you choose? Option 1: RPO for a major corporate chain. (Light labor, service industry) Title is senior recruiter -65k a year but is onsite 4 days a week Option 2: inhouse with a growing software educational company in tech. 70k a year as a talent acquisition specialist. Perm remote Option 3: 5 month temp opportunity with the municipal government - remote at 82-90k
Bad idea to move into a studio apt while still being 100% WFH? I feel like I might go a little stir crazy being in 1 room all day, every day. I found an apt that's near everything I need and has laundry, dishwasher, central AC....but it's a studio 😑
Thoughts on Razorfish Health NYC? Or switching to health in general? I'm moving to NYC and looking to switch jobs (currently working remote for a Chicago agency). RFH just reached out about an opportunity. My one hang up is switching over to health. I've worked for 5 years on a brand I legally can't put in my book; I feel like health may be equally stunting to my portfolio. I went from portfolio school to my current job.
Do people have tips on how to manage ADD/ ADHD and the feeling of restlessness? I have a mild case of ADD and in the last 2 years have found myself becoming increasingly distracted and less productive at work. I work on whatever that’s in front of me for 10 mins and suddenly a new thought/ question pop up in my head and I switch to chasing that down. The work from home situation also made me become less focused and I feel increasingly guilty and restless.
Working remote this week and can't just sign off at 3:30 on a Thursday. Such a disappointment 😩😩😩
Those who work remote or are local - what's your food budget per month? Also specify your cost of living. Looking specifically toward single males.
What monitor would you recommend for WFH situation assuming a IB/fund role? Know there is disagreement whether one wider monitor is better than dual smaller ones so would love to hear both perspectives. Some wider ones that have been recommended to me were Dell Ultrasharp 34 curved USB-C and Samsung Ultrawide 34
Attempting to renter the workforce after a 2 year hiatus due to health issues followed by the pandemic. During this time off I had minor success running a small business, but not enough to pay the bills. I have 3 YOE, 1.5 as a Loan Officer, and 1.5 as a consultant within compliance and Fintech. Please let me know of any fully remote positions, or hybrid positions based out of Chicago or Milwaukee. I live in Dubuque IA, so for in office work it would have to be in Dubuque. TIA!
FYI- We are hiring a Media Buyer (TV/Radio experience required) and a Copywriter! Remote/WFH with no plans in the near future to return to office.
If you could work remote from anywhere in the US, where would you? (Within reason, of course)
Work from home Friday ... Also known as keep on moving the mouse so the lync status remains in "Available"
Is anyone aware of management’s preliminary plans for returning to the office? Will the expectation be 5 days a week in office or will the firms explicitly state that the expectation is a mix of WFH/office?
Anyone started antidepressants since this pandemic/wfh started? I’m the type that needs to be moving/traveling, and with WFH for the past 6 months I’ve started impacting my marriage by consistently trying to find ways to get away from home (not my family, but the house). My wife told me that it feels like I’m trying to change her by grasping for straws (pushing us to travel/hike) that I think will make this better. After doing some googling I think I might be suffering from depression.
Back in the day, I did my own PR, sales & marketing for whatever business idea I was running with at the time. What’s a good remote sales opportunity I can do anywhere in the world that won’t be painful or too high touch? Where I can use my social & business skills (markets, law, cloud, publishing, media, logistics, algos, social media, books, ebooks, design, podcasting, marketing, press release writing, voiceover, journalism) to earn a few extra shillings?
Wonder if people who claim to be more effective and efficient thanks to WFH and wish to never go back to the office are the same people whose jobs are more likely to get off-shored/ outsourced? At the end of the day, if it's just a transactional, "follow-the script" kind of job requiring minimal interaction/relationship/collaboration with other team members, why would the companies be incented to keep paying salaries + benefits when they can just as easily ship these jobs overseas?
Hi, does anyone have any insight into what kind of 100% remote career options there are for an accountant? I just graduated and I'm trying to get my CPA exams knocked out before working. I'm very indecisive on where I want my career to go but I value working remote a great deal (even at the expense of climbing the ladder.)
Post your WFH playlist!!! 💃🏻
Do you think it's an interview red flag if admin tell you not to accept the offer if you're going to quit mid-year? 🤔
Can anyone help me know what would be internal project interview at Accenture? Are there possibility of rejection? Is tough or just general questions? As I have got offer for Team lead level 9 so quite confused about their bench policy if there is any. Kindly suggest
I have been working at the same small firm for almost 9 years. If I were to interview elsewhere and reach the offer stage, I don't know what I can do about providing references. I wouldn't be able to share that I'm interviewing with my manager or even my peers. At my previous company, I was in a much more JR role - and I didn't have a tight relationship with my manager. Any suggestions - thoughts? Thank you so much!
Does anyone actually get complimentary upgrades due to United status? I just hit gold and so far it seems like a hoax.
Hi all, I’m joining EY as SC2 in the FSO finance performance improvement group. I wonder what compensation should I expect? I’m currently a senior associate at PwC audit. Want to get some ideas before speaking with the recruiter. Thx!
Was recently approached by A&M and Alix for consulting roles. Any perspective on their reputation? Currently in S&O consulting role at Big 4.
Passed over for a promotion a third time, even after doing everything, and more, you’re supposed to? It’s time to GTFO
Boston Consulting Group any BCG recruiter here? Will you be willing to share the compensation structure for BCG recruiters? I heard that BCG is getting creative with its recruiter comp and including a bonus based component to reward high performing recruiters. How true is that?
I think is this the biggest and most important project being built in the space. The CEO is on the Baird of directors of the enterprise Ethereum alliance and is leading the development of private blockchains for enterprises. His project will connect private blockchains to the public Ethereum network. Curious of peoples' thoughts? Token sale is in 12 days https://aion.network/

How should I deploy my capital? 1) Save till I have 50k in checking. 2) bring cash balance slowly to 10k over 3 months by paying off car loans. 3) Ignore all debt, make regular payments, and continue Dollar cost averaging into equities. 4) other, pls explain
Is there a double standard between male and female account? I went to a HH and male AD was bragging about a promotion despite everyone saying it wasn’t deserved.
I'm new to the Fidelity HSA account. If I have all my money in my HSA invested into stocks, bonds, etc. (No cash balance at all) and I suddenly have to pay for a medical expense, do I have to first manually sell the stocks to pay off my medical bill, or will Fidelity automatically sell the stocks for me so that I can pay for my medical bill?
Currently on H1B visa, going through GC process. What are the repercussions of visiting/traveling to Iran from my future GC/US immigration perspective? I have a family member I want to visit but not sure if this will raise red flag for GC especially
Thoughts on cashing out marriott points?
What are companies doing to support working parents during Covid? Am particularly interested in what consulting firms are doing.
Does anyone know the starting salary for Jackson Lewis in the firm's Connecticut office, as well as the billable hours requirement?
Anyone selling 10k bonvoy points? I will pay $75
I feel like I’m under constant stress at work in Big4. Is this just Big4 life or would I experience constant high stress outside of Big4? Not sure if it’s just a culture shock after graduating from doing two degrees at uni.
