Truly interested in the wealth management side, not life insurance solely. Tried that and all they cared about was “recruiting more agents”. When someone tells me bad news regarding their health, I say everything I am supposed to say (I’m sorry to hear that, I’m here for you, etc) EXCEPT “everything is going to be ok”. Feeling like a loser and that I’m meant to fail and suffer because I have no idea how to be successful with anything. Is it considered unprofessional to send an email instead of a formal letter? Specifically, my firm has been retained by a title insurance company to obtain an easement for an insured property. Our first step is to reach out to the neighbor to ask them to grant the easement directly. The neighbor is a realtor and I easily found his email address online - I went to draft an email to him but found myself wondering if it’s unprofessional to send an email rather than formal letter. I can’t tell if I’m being too sensitive or my seniors are really passive aggressive towards me all the time. Like I can’t lash out at micro-aggression, what am I supposed to say? Treat me the same way as you treat the other staff? My working environment has taken a toll on my mental health and my desire to stay in audit. I worked as a technical PM for a medium-sized adtech company in NYC in charge of 2 technical teams, and the business intelligence team.

On Thursday I was informed by the lead PO and HR that leadership had decided that the project management office was no longer necessary for the company and all three of us, the director and the two technical PMs, were being let go. None of us were given any notice.

They offered me 2 weeks of severance pay and I negotiated it to 3.
