My baby starts daycare in 2 weeks, she is 4 months old. I am starting to get concerned about Covid for her since she can’t get vaccinated yet and I’ve heard the Delta variant hits kids harder. Parents who have or have had a baby. How was the first year or two for you? Was it awesome, was it terrible, did it change your relationship with your partner? Did you regret it, did you want out? I've heard that having a baby can really change things between you and your partner and that a lot of marriages fall apart at that point. Just interested in stories and feedback.

What do you do when you absolutely love the work you do and the content you're making but you are just completely done with an incredibly difficult and unnecessarily demanding team. I don't think i can handle working with these people anymore, I'm so entirely burnt out, but i absolutely hate that my only option is to just leave the work i like doing and that I'm proud of. And I work in a very niche industry so i can't just do the same thing somewhere else.

Isn't it annoying that EY takes total 3 months for appraisals . 1 month to discuss performance and convey the ratings, then 1 month for bonus payout and then again 1 month to reveal hikes. In a typical day I'll spend 3-4 hours in meetings (half of which I dose through) and then I spend 45-90mins working (playing with excel, ppt time etc) with the rest being procrastination.
