Worked as a consultant at ACN, switched to my dream job in VC and got shafted due to COVID. Now I am trying to find the next good opp, but I feel like a leper that hasn’t built enough expertise/experience to fit in anywhere. I also feel like I‘m too old to restart my career - any advice?

Any tips for staying injury free in middle age? My body seems to be falling apart. Before Covid, I injured my shoulder in a bad fall while skiing that would have kept me off the slopes for a year if the pandemic hadn’t. Last week, I pulled my lower back, also skiing. This is all after a 6 month recovery from Achilles tendinitis that the PT said was a result of running and hiking. I’m pretty active and in decent shape, but clearly I’m doing something very wrong.

It's been 3 years, companies need to stop blaming everything on Covid. Your bus is running late? Covid. More wildfires? Covid. Wow, just wow.

Curious to hear everyone’s perspectives on if they regret turning down an M7 MBA, to continue on in their careers. It’s pretty stylish now to forego them (especially in tech and investing), but I’ve seen stories of career stagnation without them.

I’m fairly exhausted and would love the break, but at the same time I really don’t want to give up my investing seat - the idea of needing to re-recruit and not necessarily landing at a better fund scares me. The $1M opportunity cost also doesn’t help
