Worked for a guy 6 months ago working on multiple jobs as an architect and still hasn’t paid me. I’m starting to realize this is more common. Wondering, should I get a lawyer or just small claims?

Have you asked them for a payment plan?

If they’re ignoring you, small claims or hire a debt collector

like

Small claims! It's what it's there for. And make sure your contracts are bulletproof for next time.

like

Thank you

Just save yourself the lawyer fee and take him to small claims court

like

Have you sent a reminder? An overdue notice? Next step a letter from a lawyer imo

What’s the value of the payment?

If you worked on multiple projects, he may owe you more than the limit for small claims.

Oh yes, I did do research on this already. I am under the maximum for small claims. Just misunderstood. Thanks

No, it’s not his property.

Good Morning. Here's my dilemma. I have an approved H1B application which got picked up in 2019-20 lot and approved in Jan 2020, before the world went into lockdown. The stamping process was initiated but it couldn't complete as the USCIS offices were shutdown die to the pandemic. I have watched patiently about all the regulations Trump Administration brought in to deny any entry to H1B applicants who weren't already working in the states or who were waiting to return.

Hey ppl, how long can review in progress takes? I cleared technical and manager round. Called HR and got the reply as they need to get list to proceed for HR round. But I was confirmed I cleared manager round. I have doj coming up for other company but I wanted to opt for infosys. Any suggestion?

Hey all fellow startups - we’re a small firm and we just had one of our employees poached by a larger firm (Ubisoft) who of course we can’t compete with at this stage. We’re already taking steps to find a replacement but was looking for tips to keep boosted when this occurs. We were told the classic “it’s not us it’s me” statement (and we don’t hold any blame or animosity - relations are good atm, and the pay is fair, but it’s Ubisoft ) but we’re trying to find a way to retain talent.
