Worked for a late stage startup that was acquired by a public tech company ~1 year ago.

Have an offer at a Series B startup (raised funds in Aug 2021).

Is now the wrong time to make a move back into the startup space from an established company?

Tough to say without knowing more (and being able to predict the future which would be great!)

Personally I would approach it from a risk tolerance analysis. If you switch to the startup, certainly there is more risk vs an established company. Does the rest of your lifestyle allow you to take this risk?

If you’re living paycheck to paycheck, it would be pretty high risk in my opinion. If you have a good savings, spend less than you make, have a good emergency fund, etc- it might be within your risk tolerance to take a chance on the startup. If it’s within your own risk tolerance and it’s what you want to do - go for it!

Considering an exit to a startup that just completed a solid series B. They’re willing to provide competitive comp package and surprised how large the base is for a startup. Got an agency new business what should ask for?

Hey!

I own a small design studio and got a mid sized ad agency I've been working with a pretty big new account. I will be working on the projects and have been working with them for a good chunk of time now and I have a great relationship with both.

We are in beginning stages for a bid on our first project. What should I ask for? Should I ask for a commission / percentage on this and future projects? If so how much? Sry for my ignorance and thx!
