Yes. If not officially recorded on your time sheet, they don’t count toward your death score.
This is why I still go to the gym, eat healthy home cooked for every meal, and get 8 hours of sleep, even in January. I don’t give a fuck if we miss the deadline
EY3 I’ve had the same attitude since day 1 at EY. I’ve set my boundaries and 15 years later I’m still here. I don’t take weekend calls, I get my sleep, I log off to go to the gym and I don’t check emails, texts, vm while on vacation...and I take all my vacation time every year. Not sure how that “take all my time” will work with unlimited so I’m just taking the same number of vacation days as before.
I also make sure everyone on my team follows this as well.
Have a spine, set your boundaries. If you don’t you will be taken advantage of.
So looks like busy season minimum is aimed at killing us all
This is why we don't want employers to be responsible for pensions: they will inherently have incentive to overwork us all to death.
I’ve definitely worked more from home than I did at my clients offices
I’m ready to have more flexibility as to where I do my work. For me - likely will be easier to work from client site or office a few times a week
