Working 9-5 remote, looking for anything else to do virtually to help make side income. I currently serve in the evenings sometimes and make great money, but it’s exhausting on my body as they are 8 hour shifts after 5pm. I’m pretty skilled but I’m 21 so I just don’t know where to begin for side gigs/just joined fishbowl today. Anyone have any beginner advice?

I am currently interviewing for remote jobs. I need to take at least 3 days of vacation in September and work from Hawaii (I live on mainland USA) for a few weeks+ in October - where I would need to work shifted hours. At what point in the morning interview process should I let a company know? No one has asked “do you have upcoming vacation plans?” Or anything like that yet.

I feel like “WFH” is way too close to “WTF” and “WTH”. Even after reading “WFH” approximately 9 billion times, I keep momentarily misreading posts or people’s skype status and cracking up.

What does being terminated as an associate look like during WFH? Our office is having a serious drop in billable hours. If one of us was terminated, how awkward is it to get things from the office?

Also I heard that lot of travelling for projects. Is it true? Travel to clients or client deputation like these things exists or rarely happens.

I joined EY as a Manager 2 months ago and new to consulting. Leading a project in a new area with 2-3 streams, with no seasoned folks in team. Within weeks they started asking me to own other initiatives saying only project work is not enough. I am still learning about EY, consulting, and work streams in my project while virtually WFH. Not to mention multiple calls/meetings, trainings and other initial tasks.

Not sure if this is the general scenario in consulting/EY. Any tips would be helpful.

Funny story:
