I would just explain that your cost of living has increased. Things happen and the economy isn't exactly getting better.

You can try to reason with them due to unforeseen circumstances, you housing expenses have increased and you would like the company to consider offering you some house allowance.

Cost of living and market rate tend to be the safest options for a raise tbh. It's worth doing some research to see if you're getting paid the right amount

Does anyone else find themselves with bosses/MPs who don’t take vacations/days off? I’m a second year, started in August 2018 after the Bar and our firm’s managing partners have not taken more then one day off at a time since I started. They also are, generally, in disbelief that an employee is actually sick when taking a sick day. A real “gotta see it to believe it” mentality there. I think it really adds to my stress/anxiety when I do rarely take days off or tell them I’m going on a vacation!

I make 100k per year. My company set three goals every year. But I finish 2 out of 3 goals. The max % hike to up to 5. There is annual bonus too up to 5k. But I worked hard this fiscal year and got a award from the company. Now, I’m wondering if I could leverage my award to get more hike/annual bonus?

Now with these no show / late cancels, I have less clients and no new intakes are being put in my schedule even though I’ve alerted the intake dept several times. Is it bad I want to leave already?
