Working in advertising and staying fit is a struggle. I’m tired and burnt out. I never know when I’m getting off work so squeezing in the gym is hard. But I’m up rn drinking my Celsius about to leave for the gym. Pray for a regular work day or I’m gunna be exhausted lol

Hahah! I did go before work today! It’s just sometimes I get off at like 10. So even going before work is tiresome. When do I sleep??? Lol

When I was first starting out in my career, there was a grind element.

That being said, there is always going to be something. You need to block your calendar and have people respect it and for you to stand for that.

Being healthy is going to help you work overall. I’m about to sign off at 5:30 pm but log back in after my workout. I suggest you find a time that works best for you. I am not a morning person either, so I prefer afternoon/evening workouts.

Lastly, if there’s ever a random window of time to workout, just take it. Run out the door and go!

Anyone in Los Angeles gotten a COVID test with quick turnaround? My [pregnant] wife and I are going to need to go stay with my parents for a couple of months (starting at the end of this month) while our soon to be new home undergoes some renovations. All of us (me and my wife, and my parents) have been observing appropriate precautions, but we all want to get tested as an additional precaution before my wife and I go stay there.

Reminder to everyone: use your 2021 vacation time. Don’t let it pass you by just because you’re not traveling. Take a long weekend once a month to nap and eat chips in sweat pants all day. We all need to do our part to normalize self care, and sitting at home doing “nothing” is just as worthy of a vacation day as pina coladas on the beach.

Any 🐠 here with fibromyalgia that have managed to deal with sudden flare ups impacting timeline of return of deliverables? Yesterday and today have been complete washes due to first, all over body pain and today, added brain fog and extreme fatigue. I can’t think, can barely lift a pinky. I’m 39 and not sure if it’s because I’m getting old, bc of COVID or because we had a baby a few months back but I don’t feel much about the new year. Not depressed - personally we had a fantastic 2021 and all is good (although very busy with a 5 month old). Usually enjoy flipping through the NYE parties shows on networks but they kinda suck and not feeling the hype. Anyone else feel the same?

I need some help. I love my partner but her insomnia is just painful.
She won't meditate. She won't do something relaxing. She won't get out of bed and reset when she can't sleep. She just lays there and then she gets frustrated and around 2am she's just a ball of tears because she can't sleep.
