Question for non-Deloitte folks:
Is your firm allowing you to work from outside Canada for a short period of time (lets say, 1-2 weeks)? Asking in the context of WFH norm since the onset of pandemic.
I currently looking for jobs at Point72 Asset Management. Does someone know if the offer remote work? Is it a good place to work at?
Are there any companies hiring remote rn and willing to take a change on someone looking for a career change? I’m a senior manager in operations, but I just don’t like what I do. Honestly, the money doesn’t speak to me anymore either. I understand I probably need to take a step or two down in level, but I am willing to grind! Thank you!

Any ideas on ballpark compensation for a solution specialist (software developer) at Deloitte? 9 YOE, solid resume including architect and tech lead positions, MCOL city but position is remote.
Any tip for someone starting wfh? How to create a connection with a team without even meeting themselves in person?
Do people know if the big 4 are all wfh and onboarding that way as well? Or have they started setting return to office dates?

As a remote worker, I feel like I'm not getting enough recognition for my contributions because no one was physically there to see them or talk about them with me directly.
What are the best firms for restructuring / turnaround roles? I’ve heard Alix and A&M are good. And are any remote?
I have a question about mid-size Philadelphia law firms. Does anyone have any insight about what life is like (culture, pay, billable hours, cases, WFH, perks, etc.) as a junior partner/senior associate/of counsel in the litigation department at the following firms: Montgomery McCracken, Schnader Harrison, Stradley Ronon, Dilworth Paxson, Klehr Harrison?
I'm a SWE from Italy. Love my country but salary and taxes here are outrageous. Got 2yrs experience in fullstack and data science, 2masters, a peer reviewed paper and outperform all my peers for 24k€ a year.
I'm thinkin about landing a remote SWE job (leetcoding and building a portfolio this summer).
Have you got some advice? Is it possible to work for US remotely without visa? What other countries pay well? Is it possible to land a 100k$+ with this kind of experience and working from Italy?
Hey.. Just want to know about working environment in CBA banglore, what about WFH and call :)
Do we get $1K for WFH per year?
My CD was high on drugs while working remote for the past two plus years. He got a paid trip to rehab, a few months off, and now he’s back, fucking everything up again. He’s never going to get fired because the ECD loves him. I need a new gig.
Can anyone provide some guidance to taking the CFE? As in which membership option to choose from followed by when exactly can we take the exam, if the entire amount is reimbursed or not? Just a generic timeline and additional required info. Don’t want to sign up yet if the exam dates are not flexible. Thank you.

Hey everyone any good low cost dividend ETFs or good stocks that pay consistent dividends out there? So far I’ve bought SCHD and then I bought Blackstone (BX) as a dividend paying stock. I understand that I could pick from the list of stocks SCHD is comprised of, but I’m restricted in certain individual stock picks. Additionally, I have TQQQ and VOO as my index funds. Any thoughts on allocating more to dividend stocks vs SP500 index funds?

Getting rid of some personal computers - where do I go for this? I live next to a little mom-and-pop tech shop that says they can clean the computer for $25 and then they recycle it. Do I trust this?
Talk to me about beauty routines. I HATE clutter and end up using the same moisturizer morning and at night. And I hate samples. Drive me crazy. So my questions are
1. What are some easy to follow beauty routines (with product recommendations)
2. How to you take your favourite beauty products to go while travelling?
I have combination skin, in my 30s and I'm a mom... ( So I have NO time for myself and my nightly routine is most often the highlight of my day)
Starting to doubt my ability to get into any of the 4 M7 schools I'm targeting. I've got Anderson as my safety, but should I consider an early decision application at Columbia?

My best friend is getting married & we cancelled the bachelorette party. Does anyone have fun ideas for a Zoom party? Trying to still give her a fun experience in spite of the circumstances.
Does anyone share office space with their partner? Pros and cons? I'm currently sharing the space and I love it. We're currently renovating the house and were able to get our own spaces and am planning to have separate offices. I feel like I'm going to miss being my next to partner all the time but also kind of excited to decorate my own room
Last month I mentioned to my boss that I’d like to move up to the next level and things happened really fast. Next week we’re starting a new team structure (cont below)
How do you deal with a coworker trying to push their work on you?
When I started at this company there wasn't much work assigned to me so the office manager/accountant (small company) would have me help her with this major excel document daily. It's very time consuming and requires use of a database-- in short. But can usually be finished by noon if done properly.
About a month after I was hired my boss found out she was giving me work. Which I was unaware he didn't know about, and reprimanded her for it. My workload has increased tremendously after my first month and she was still having me help her with the documents.
I just overheard her step into our bosses office saying that her workload is too much and that she needs help (most likely mine since I'm the only other employee trained to do so. My workload has become pretty insane most days, I don't have room in my schedule to provide her with help but I'm worried my boss will ask me to help to appease her.
My boss rarely comes into the office, and on the days he's out this coworker watches soap operas and takes loud personal calls for the entirely of the day.
How do I approach this if my boss asks me to help her with this task? She clearly has enough time to work on them herself.
Had the most amazing mtg today...I was the only woman on a creative call with 5 men (I am a producer FYI). They were brainstorming campaign slogans...typically I shy away from making creative suggestions, but we were going around in circles so I said “what if it were just X”. Everyone just kinda nodded and moved on. 20 minutes later a dude makes the SAME EXACT suggestion. Everyone flips - immediately loves it. The CD says “that’s the one, mtg over”. It was so surreal I cant do anything but LOL
Hugh Hefner: was he a catalyst for a sexual revolution or did he just make the porn industry more acceptable? Did his impact help or harm the objectification of women in the US? Thoughts?
Today sucked. I’m leading a client workshop this week and my team is me(strat dir), a PT freelancer, 3 jrs (it’s their 1st industry job and they time and need guidance with their work). I need to lead the workshop stimulus and have a half baked strategy to help guide discussions. I feel like even though I have this team…it’s all lying on my shoulders. I tried to divy up the work so everyone has a role but still feel like I’m carrying all the pressure and responsibility. Any advice?
Hey amazing 💃🏻🐠! Can you take a minute to scope out the Fishes’ Choice Award bowl and nominate/vote for your pick? I’d love for the great work by women to get the recognition it deserves ✨ https://www.fishbowlapp.com/fisheschoiceaward
When your 'Head Of' puts you on a pitch targeting women because you are a woman but then won't listen to your concerns about the creative routes being tokenistic and tells you to "just get on with it".
I’m leaving my agency after two years. I gave my manager six weeks advance notice and he’s upset with me because he feels betrayed. Now every conversation we have is combative. Not sure what to do for the remaining time I have here. I really liked him before this.
Best way to politely address interrupting, esp from a male line manager? Whenever I lead external calls he tends to jump in with 1-2 word phrases ending my sentences and it totally kills my flow.
Anyone else find themselves having serious introspection about their career lately? I suppose I’ve always had it, but the more senior I become I feel like not only am I becoming more introverted but I’m also over the “account stuff”. Like why should I have to solve a staffing problem when new biz undersold the business? Why am I being brought on to help fix things on a project when agency leaders can’t even find the time to align internally? I’m exhausted and just want to help make great work.
How do I tell my manager that the job has given me depression, an anxiety disorder, and suicidal ideation? I asked for a rotation but there are no open roles on other accounts. I ask for work taken off my plate so I’m not drowning and it’s good for a few weeks before it’s back to the same. I’m burnt out and it’s showing and I’m getting told my tone is harsh and I’m too negative and people are scared to talk to me. I just want to end it. How do I survive and not get punished for it.
Anybody know how long a promotion tends to take at a company? My boss reccomend me for immediate promotion during my yearly review but he said at big companies like ours it takes awhile to get all the paperwork done and everything in place and approved. But like how long is long? A month? 2-6 months?

Softest cheap shorts/sweats? And I mean cheap. Like clean my apartment, never go outside in them cheap
Show me your favorite sneakers! I’m looking for something comfy but cool, not too flashy and under $100. I wear mostly black and neutrals, though sometimes some fun prints. 👟
What is the male equivalent of the conversation I just had: being advised not to “huff up on stage” like “little miss bossy boots” and “try to take take charge” of my own spot, on set.
Advice for establishing a healthy working relationship with a male CD who is extremely introverted? I have a lot to learn from this guy. He’s very nice. But he does not seem to want to be approached?

Depending on how desperate you are for the job, I would be blunt. Their response will tell you if you really want to work there. Because you don’t want to be sneaking off at 6 or made to feel bad about WLB and WFH.
Yup. And by blunt I didn’t mean rude, just direct. “I’m very interested in the offer, and I wanted to know what the WFH policy is” (follow-up with your request). And ask if there are ways the agency actively supports WLB. Something like that. Their response will tell you tons. I work for an extremely family/WLB-friendly company and they would be absolutely thrilled to answer that question.
Not to be Debby Downer, but I don’t know if I’d say you want to work from home once a week to be closer to her. Is she going to have a nanny while you’re doing that, or are you thinking you’d watch her and try to work one day a week (that’s how I would interpret that request)? I think a stronger argument would be “Especially while she’s this young, I’d like to wfh one day per week so that I can be sure to be with her in the morning and night before she’s sleeping at least once a week since I won’t have to commute. But during work hours, I’ll be working 100% from my home office.”
Be transparent. If they react negatively it’s not the right company for you
Yes to above. If they balk, don’t take the job. That’s a terrible sign of what’s to come
I’ve wondered how to navigate this as well because it seems like asking about the WLB translates to them like I don’t want to work hard. Certainly not the case, I just want to know that boundaries are respected.
