The HR has sent immigration paperwork (I-129) by their company lawyer and wants me to submit all documents including my current company's H1B filed petition so that they can start the H1 B transfer process if I am selected. There is still 1 more round to go with CEO/CTO I am afraid that they will look at my current salary and will low ball me

My H1-B expires on April 2022. My perm is currently in process and they are applying for H1B extension and H4 visa extension for my spouse. The immigration team said that they can apply for an H4 ead as well. Is that possible? My H1b visa started April 2016 on i-94 and and is stamped as start date April 2016. I have only been physically in the US for 5 years and 2 months. I am confused on how can they still file for an EAD? Am I missing something?

Im starting a new job but still employed somewhere else. I was trying to be open about staying at BOTH places. My current job won’t let me be part time because they don’t allow “set schedules”. Yet I am one of the only reliable and loyal employees in the department, and currently working a set schedule. So why will they not let me continue a set schedule but with different hours? This place is more focused on strict policies and not actually trying to work their employees and being flexible.

Got an offer today...

Applied for a mechanical engineering position. Salary range was 65-75k a year. When asked about salary during the first interview, I replied 70k is my number. Later I found out that since it's a small company no health benefits would be provided, but 10 PTO days are included. Had I known about the lack of health benefits and 401k match I would have increased my bottom.

The offer today was for 70k but now I'm not sure if I should try to negotiate for another 2-3k?

I booked an h1 stamping appointment in DEC 2019 but couldn’t go because of the onset of COVID (prior receipt number). I assume the fee is non refundable. Now, I’m trying to book an appointment (I moved out of pwc and using my latest receipt number) but the fee page already has a receipt number prepopulated against my name.

I have filed my ds160 and got visa stamping date with my approved h1b receipt number. However, I am changing location and my firm has applied for h1b amendment. Do I need to file a new ds160 with the latest h1b receipt number that I will receive ?

Is a new H4 EAD eligible for automatic work authorization if h1 and h4 are approved along with a new i94. Category of this h4 is c(26) which falls under the automatic validity as per uscis nov’21 rule. I am moving from L2ead to h4 ead.
