@P1 exactly the reason. happened to me once when I first joined EY and in a totally unrelated practice with absolutely 0 clue of auditing or accounting. Gotta stay chargeable!!

Well I got pulled into this stupid audit support shit (I'm a psych major) for 3 weeks and I didn't know shit. Client was a total bitch and he started lecturing me on audit sampling nonsense. He was like 'have you even audited before?' I wanted to be like bitch, I'm glad I've never.

@P1, me too! I wonder if that's just a thing PWC does when audit is overrun

Have a very difficult client and finally a coworker snapped and told them to shut up. Client was on a conference call and as it was wrapping proceeded to say the exact opposite strategy of what had been discussed on the call. Witnessing this is one of my happier moments in consulting

Advisory charges assurance who in turns charges the client. Their way of trying to stay afloat if there are people on the bench I guess?

Help - how do I fight claims by scammer healthcare providers? I recently went to 2 different providers. Dentist, made appt via Zocdoc to see a dentist that was in network. Another dentist at the location saw me instead who was out of network. I have text evidence they said it would be covered before visit. Claim was denied - asking for ~500 dollars. Saw a specialist who’s office staff verified my insurance would fully cover the claim. Get the claim, says they are out of network. Owe 600.

I’m a 2017 associate in NYC biglaw. I logged approx. 2300 billable hours in 2019. Is that light, normal or heavy in the biglaw market for RE associates at my level? Thanks in advance for thoughts.

I'm new to the industry and this is my first corporate job. Been working as a BI analyst for about 2.5 years and I roughly make $80k. I'm having a hard time trying to gauge how much should I be making, or if I speak to my manager about increasing compensation how much to ask for so I won't sound absurd. Do you all have any tips on this or are there any tools that I can use to accurately gauge how on average much I should be earning?

I’m thankfully hitting my hours, but my firm keeps passing non-billable work my way. I am grateful for the opportunities, but this type of work always seems to find its way to the female associates at my firm. We have been told that non-billable work is irrelevant in terms of our annual hours. Any tips on how to navigate this in a thoughtful way? I want to be a team-player, but I believe that others need to step up to the plate.

Hi all! For an experienced hire as a Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte, what should I expect the salary/sign-on bonus to be at a MCOL city? I have approx. 3.5 YOE (non-consulting), MBA and MS degree (non target school) and also SHRM certified (which is probably irrelevant for the role but thought I’d share anyways). Already did my research but the range is kind of all over the place for experienced hires so just want to have a ballpark. Thanks!
