Hello, I have received an offer from Southwest Airlines as a Associate Technology Analyst with their direct college hire program. Will be graduating in May with a degree in MIS and also have internships experience as a Business Systems analyst intern. The salary compensation started off at 66,500 but was looking for the 75k range and they got back to me saying the best they can do is 68,500. They also have a 401k company match up to 9.3%. Do you think this is a solid offer for this job market?
Got offer from JPMorgan Chase , but variable pay percent was not mentioned in it. HR told it will be around 10-12% . Is it true? It's for VP/602/Commercial Banking? How much we variable pay will get annually? Can someone help as based on this only in have to decide whether, I can go with counter offer or not?

Get a good CC for every day use that has no foreign transaction fees. Gotta get on that points game bruh
Get the CSP and make that your everyday card
Credit card with no foreign transaction fee is key - you don't want to be carrying a bunch of cash around when you're traveling. I also recommend getting a Schwab or Fidelity checking out that give debit cards/ATM cards that let you withdraw using any ATM for no fee and they reimburse you for fees from the ATM's provider. That card with a credit card will have you covered for your trip
I have a Chase Freedom Unlimited at the moment, so 3% fee. Considering a basic travel card since I'm planning on traveling hopefully once a year
Like, you can redeem them for cash, but they're worth less than if you redeem them for travel
Probably not but as you can imagine it's a function of your spending habits and the cost of the card you're looking at in combination with other value you derive from said card
Just exchange a bunch of cash once at the start of the trip
Like I bring a bunch of USD on the flight? Sorry, mega noob here
Revolut is good for any foreign travel though it's a debit rather than credit card
Depends. Yeah, I sometimes take $1000 cash and then exchange it into local currency at a bank. You can also use your debit card at a local ATM, but you will get charged fees. Honestly, it is only a week so as long as you don't use a foreign debit or credit card for every transaction how you would in the states, it will prob end up being minimal. Some wealth management clients don't have exchange fees for debit cards, like BoA, but you have to have a lot to qualify.
Just be sure that whatever you have had a chip bc many european places don't take cards without chips and try to avoid amex bc it is taken fewer places
Yeah, that cash thing more applies to when you're going to be living abroad for weeks or months at a time
What CC do you have? Most decent US credit cards don't charge foreign exchange fees; your regular Amex gold got rid of them years ago, Chase too; I think Capital one doesn't charge them either.
Lol at bringing cash to exchange, you bring enough foreign currency to get to your hotel, then withdrawal cash from an ATM
I do what Dd1 suggested and then I use it when I travel. Double points on travel too! It's worth it, esp for the points
Is CSP worth it for a 23 y/o and the 95$ annual? My major expenses are really around $600 and rent around $1k. was it a mistake to get unlimited before?
Depends how much you want the points. They're worth around $600 and then you can add on from there. You can redeem them for more than just travel
@OP worth it. I originally got the United explorer card who also waives the annual fee and the bonus was 50k miles which got me to Japan for free
Agreed. Used mine for Singapore last year and am using them for Costa Rica this year
