Would a Level 5 (Associate Director) at Accenture map to a VP level at Cap. In conversations with Cap, but they are reluctant to offer that. The next level at Cap is Principal - but I feel thats not a step up ? Thoughts ?

VP at Cap usually has signing authority and owns a P&L. I doubt that maps to an associate director at Accenture.

Not sure what the question is. They don’t think you’re at their level but you do. Seems like this isn’t going to be an amazing move for you

Have been pushing for a MD position at Accenture for a while, but yet to get it. Which is why I am willing to consider MD-equivalent roles at other firms. Feels like the right mapping of a level 4 MD at ACN would be a VP level at Cap. They want to hire - but at the next level below the VP, which is Principal.

What's the money like? Title mapping across firms and industries is a mess, but dollars are easier to count amd and compare. If the money isn't good enough for you, then the title is basically irrelevant and you should pursue other opportunities. If the money is good enough for you, then why does title matter?

The money comparison is tricky. I am in sales. Which means a significant portion of my comp is commissions. Cap is able to give me a bump on the base - which is the easier compare. But the commissions-comparisons are trickier. While Cap is offering decent commissions, it's still a gamble as I move into a new ecosystem (At ACN, I have managed to clock decent commissions over time).

Our baby is due soon so we’ve made the decision that we will only have visits from vaccinated family members (not realizing it would be an issue) only to find out that my Dad will never be getting vaccinated, planned to lie about it AND asked other family members lie to us about his vaccination status too… when we found out and asked him about it, he started to FREAK out. Now I’m questioning if we’re being unreasonable… how have you guys been handling unvaccinated people meeting your newborns??

Been working in PA for 2 years. No prior internships or business related work. Is it okay that my resume is just my associate role with like 15 bullet points? Considering an expert role in healthcare in mid Atlantic region at McKinsey. Any thoughts about culture, wlb, tc, etc? Have read through a bunch of older threads. Opinion seems mixed. Negatives mentioned include more intense work hours than integrative track, second class citizen, slower career progression, lower pay than integrative, harder to get staffed on engagements, poor integration into teams, and subpar exit opportunities. Also read this is changing. Would appreciate recent thoughts. 🙏

Heelllppp! My husband accidentally left his grocery COVID disinfectant spray in the same spot where I keep my water spray bottle (they are unfortunately the same color) I sprayed a sweet red pepper plant with the mix generously and poured some in because the plant seemed dry. It’s 70% ethanol. What should I do?? Repot immediately with fresh soil?
