Would a MS in global finance make you stand out more or is it better to just get an MBA? Deciding if it’s worth the time and money to go back to school and for what exactly.

A week ago, I started with a fairly new position within a company designed for fresh grads. I graduated with an MBA early this year. Today I found out that this company just opened up a new initiative for MBAs, and is offering a 6 fig salary. For those who refinanced MBA loans, what kind of rates are you getting? I refinanced about a year ago while I had some CC debt and got a 10 year with a 5.36% for $150k (had some undergrad loans in that too). I have now paid off all CCs and am wondering if I can get a better rate. Probably will stick to a 7-10 year term as we are prioritizing other things first.

Got perm certification notification last week. Anyone knows how long does it take nowadays to submit i140, 485, 765, and 131 starting from now? I’ve heard it can take 4-5 months just to submit after your notification as they process perm, get a paper version etc. Is this similar to your experience?

When a recruiter shares the position’s salary range, is the top of the range often times actually the most the firm can offer? Tried negotiating past this range for base salary but recruiter wasn’t budging. Any experiences here?

You’re getting promoted but anticipating offer is going to be lower then expected and you want to negotiate (meeting has not happened yet). Would you bring up that the offer is lower than expected in the meeting or be thankful and excited during the meeting and set up a follow up to discuss compensation? Design question for my work from home ladies - how did you decorate around a standing desk, large monitors, etc?

I find that with a large monitor there’s not so much I can put on the wall without having the monitor partially cover it - especially when the desk moves.

I don’t mind if the decor is covered when I’m using it standing, but want it to look nice when it’s lower down. Also find that with the monitor/laptop another square on the wall is too much of the same shape - any inspiration?

How can I encourage my boyfriend to be better with grooming? My partner is late 30s and is clean, but he doesn’t take care of his grooming sufficiently. I’m in talks with management about being a candidate for a new position, Project Manager. This would be a promotion for me; however, a member of my team indicated the company may not want to increase compensation for this role even though I would have more responsibilities.
