Why does no one discuss the real elephant that’s in the room? Most people hired in tech the last few years weren’t qualified. A few years of woke friends hiring woke friends lead us here. The positions that are getting laid off are mostly admin/recruiter related (jobs with transferable skills most people can do). It’s not the end of the world, people will find other jobs. Just no more made up titles making 6 figures at home watching Netflix (good thing).

What are the best SDR courses or schools out there? Be 100% transparent

What enterprise cloud salesperson makes more money in a year? A partner like Accenture or a direct seller at a company like Amazon or Microsoft? Does size of company matter? Are smaller partners making more?

I’m in Sales, but brand new to tech sales. I had a resume person help me - gorgeous cover letter too that showcases my skills.

I keep getting rejected for lack of SaaS experience. What can I say or do to get my foot in the door? I am confident that I can crush it but not even getting past the gatekeeper at this point. It’s a blanket “ we need someone with experience” and I’m trying to not get discouraged.

Hi all. Was just laid off along with a few other people from my company, after 18 were laid off last month. Looking for a sales position, over 20 years of sales and account management experience, the last 3 in tech. Tech roles have included HR SaaS, Logistics/ eCommerce, and recruiting SaaS. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Interviewed for a company today. The remuneration package $120k-$180k/year [Base + % of Commission = OTE] (50/50 spilt).

They’re asking for an expected salary, if my expected salary is $100k/year, comes out to $8.3k/month.

Based on the $180k and paymix of 50/50, that means $90k is the base salary which is lower than my expected - is this correct? If so, what should I do?
