I accepted a new job that i’m REALLY excited about. I have an arrest on my record but dismissed charges from something that happened in college. (a misdemeanor crime). should i bring this up to my recruiter or is this something i should not worry too much about?

For those who lateraled to MBB as experienced hires, did you have to start relatively quickly (couple weeks) after you finished your interview process, or you get to pick your start date to be a few months later? What does this timeline usually look like?

Had a very unpleasant experience with the entire interview process at Paytm. First of all they kept all three rounds in a single day . It started from the morning and ended up till the final round at late evenings. After all the rounds were cleared, the HR asked for the expected package, and when I gave him my quote which was just 35% more than my current CTC, he got reluctant and said we only have a budget of an X amount which was just 10% more than my current CTC. Who on earth does that..?

I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. Are you traveling during the pandemic or have client interactions been virtual? Lastly, if you are a consultant here, are you on billable hours? My current consulting role is not - so this would be new.

I had a HR Discussion after clearing 2 HCL rounds and 2 client interviews . HR is not considering moving above 40% hike no matter whatever I say to justify, the Discussion was like talking to a wall . Any suggestions to get another 10-15% more (first offer)? Will HR reject me stating this reason in HCL ?? FYI- Client and the project team wants to take him in as per their feedback to me and I feel i am the right person for the role too .. 9 years exp -Infra storage domain .

“I’m not currently interested in any positions that have a billable hour requirement” because that is absolutely my mood going forward.

I’ve had three interviews for an internal position over a period of about 6 weeks The last was over a week ago. And I can’t get the HR rep to even return an email or a TEAMS chat as to a ballpark when a decision may be made. VERY frustrating. Even just a “we will be making a decision soon”. I am interviewing for a new IT Manager position. I started putting out soft feelers and then hit the hunt harder. The problem: I have one offer and need to give an answer by next Wednesday. I have two other opportunities that are in final steps but probably won’t have offers by next Wednesday. Both of the other offers will be higher pay but clearly are uncertain for offers. Do I accept the offer I have, which is a good one or wait for the other two to finalize and possibly miss out altogether?
