I don’t have specific resources for you, but I would focus on the various business processes (i.e., P2P, O2C) and how technology is an enabler for each of those. Then focus on key issues in the business process and where manual processes exist or pain points with infrastructure, cyber, etc. and how that can have a commercial effect on customers. Unsure who the case is for, but will also want to have an understanding of how IT costs are allocated from a parent to specific business units, enterprise applications, IT cost management, and understanding critical path items for an M&A transaction. Hope this helps.
Good repose above I would add start from the “deal-thesis” this will help you narrow down the processes and supporting technology to look at and always try to circle back to deal thesis realization impact and investment needed to remediate the gaps identified
I second this, and great answer C1. Tying whatever investments you recommend (be it on infra, cyber, apps, org, etc.) to the deal thesis and any risks identified is key. Our clients are requesting for this more and more every time - looking forward, how are these investments enabling value creation?
Very good response C1
Seconded. Well written C1.
