Nope
They’ll still track you someway somehow
No
No, barely use it now anyway and ads are not the deterrent
The benefit of the tracking and targeting is lost is this whole conversation.
Honestly I somewhat enjoy the ads.
They are targeted and I find (most) of them interesting or relevant to me. Much better than generic tv or radio ads advertising things like baby products or adult diapers that have no relevancy to me.
Just delete Facebook. Focus on human interactions.
No for me
Define improved
No ads would obviously be the primary piece, but I’m sure they could potentially come up with some extras
Agreed, I also don’t mind the targeted ads, but I know a lot of people that do care. At a recent family holiday party I spent an hour being berated by family members who just see an invasion of privacy as opposed to a benefit
I enjoy the adds and have actually made a few purchases over the last year, but more from the gram then the book even though they’re the same.
FB sucks and is only so popular at this point because it’s is ubiquitous.. you’re almost left out if you don’t use it. I rarely log in at this point.
No
Annual revenue / # users would be the cost.. after most of their user base left
No
No. Don’t mind ads that I already ignore. Don’t mind that they sell my data, can’t hurt me
I personally don’t understand the fury centered on Facebook and CA. People pretend like that they didn’t know that Facebook’s entire business model is based around selling your information. They have never hidden that.
Regarding things being targeted to you: cookie-based tracking has been used for decades at this point. Best Buy actively looks at your cookies when you visit their site; if they see that you have been browsing for a new tv at Amazon, they will magically show you the same product, but for a couple of dollars cheaper than amazon.
It’s like the entire internet user base forgot that Facebook is a service that is “free” because you are giving them rights to your personal data
Need a reason to delete Facebook.
Nope. I hardly use it anymore anyways.
Wouldn’t pay for social media ever
Also have never bought anything from a targeted ad
