Would it be smart move to exit to Mitre for slightly better pay? If anyone has insight into brand reputation—debating whether it will be a long term mistake and to hold out and keep searching for roles in tech while I have the Acn brand name on my side

I interviewed with MITRE. The base pay was lower than I was looking for, but the retirement benefits are insanely good. My understanding is that they are working on building the brand to be a more attractive employer.

like

MITRE is pretty slow, but they pay well and you can easily stand out if you’re good.

like

The new company won’t be able to come close to MITRE’s retirement benefits, so you’ll end up losing money

like

Oh really? Still trying to understand the package —it’s very different than Accenture

Following.. I also saw a job posting.. what are they? Another small contracting firm ?

Depends what you want to do. MITRE is a big federal contractor and does research and engineering work for the federal gov. Not as fast paced and dynamic as B4, but work tends to be more interesting and longer term. They’re a FFRDC for a few different agencies so they get preference on many research and tech projects.

I was in a very hostile work environment at Citigroup so I decided to leave the company to join JPMorgan Chase. But after over a year I decided to apply for an opening with a different team, went through all of the interview and the hiring manager wanted to onboard me. However, the recruiter was not able to get approval from the rehire team to process the offer so that didn’t go through. Does anyone know how to find out if I’m permanently ineligible for rehire at @citigroup

Hello

I’m looking to to get into the tech industry. I’ve worked in construction 10+ years and have recently obtained a BSBA, CSM and PMP. Any advice? Hello,
I’m a junior data scientist and in my current job I mostly code using Pyspark (no machine learning) so I would like to work on a side project that could leverage my profile and data science/ML skills. What project would you advice me to work on ? (it can be a kaggle project, or a classic task that you do at your job, or a paper that you read).
I’m overwhelmed by the many suggestions online and would prefer to get a suggestion directly from professionals.
PS : I’m not a beginner.
