Would like to make a move to microsoft sometime in the next year or two. I have 6 YOE, I’m currently an SC (Tech Lead / Data Engineer) at D. I have AWS (CLF-C01, SAA-C03) and Azure (DP-203, AZ-305) certifications. Interested in knowing what type of work, role, practice may suit me or really what the most logical career move would be? Planning on leaving D at the M level

What I usually from my consulting tech peeps is a move as an architect or a slightly more business focused role like technical account manager (TAM) or Account Technology Specialist. I’ve also had friends that were Premier Field Engineers if you’re focused on a specific tech. Those titles may have changed as my info may be old, but should still exist.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to leverage the hive mind in finding out how best to negotiate a verbal offer for a 100%-remote Product Manager role in NYC, with a IT infrastructure/digital services firm (MNC but non-American):

Base salary: 120k

Sign-on bonus:10k

Bonus: 15%

No stock options

How competitive is this, and what should I negotiate for please? The written offer comes after verbal agreement.

I've 10 YOE in tech project management; 7 in product management.

Feeling that I never land an offer from Google. I have tried many times and in my last try, I passed phone screening but recruiter ghosted me...
I am not sure what is wrong...
When I apply with referral, my resume always pass screening and shared with managers. But then no response.
When I get feedback on my resume and experience, people always mention "impressive". I feel desperate...Being in less challenging role at Amazon makes everything worse.

Hello Fishes,

So far I received offers from PwC India, Capgemini and Lexmark for Data Engineering.

More are in pipeline from KPMG GS, TechM, Accenture.

But one peculiar thing is happening. I have appeared for 4 Cognizant interviews but in all I have been rejected. Whereas most of my friends had easily cleared Cognizant. I am switching tech, so I am a bit concerned like whether my knowledge is too shallow😐

Is it sign of an Imposter Syndrome 🥺

Pls help🙏🏾

Hello fishes,

I have 6 and half YOE in front end development. (angular and hybrid applications). I joined my current organization ( product based) in Feb for 24LPA. The work here is too stressful and there is absolutely zero WLB. So I decided to start looking out again. However I am not getting good interview calls. Are most companies not hiring now ? Or could it because my CTC is too high ?

Just landed a full time gig, looking to get some furniture so I’m not working on my parents’ kitchen table during this remote period. Any recommendations for desks and chairs? I know everyone has a different kind of setup that works for them. I currently have a laptop, drawing pad, second monitor, and a desk riser.

Ideas please:

I’m inheriting a “team” of siloed strong individual developers who are on different work streams and are very jaded and struggling with motivation. Most are contractors.
