Would like to spend 3 weeks in New Zealand (when COVID permits) and trying to understand what a good budget would be for 2 people? Using points for airfare but otherwise renting rooms (air bnb/hotel) and a car. Both north and south island. Any thoughts?

Cost me about 3k splitting with a friend. So maybe 5-6?

My wife and I were going to go a couple years ago right when Covid hit and it was 4 weeks (2 in NZ and 2 in AUS) and we budgeted around 8k total. But there were a few splurge hotels there

You are amazing M1 🙌 thank you!!!

The exchange rate is favorable, but everything is priced higher. Budget more than what you would traveling around the US

Went for my honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing. We did a mix of credit card points, miles, and cash.

Feel free to DM me if you want an itinerary - we only did 12 days for south and north islands and it wasn’t nearly long enough. Budget 2 weeks for South Island and one for north island.

I used to be a big fan of Jetblue(nyc based), but lately I feel like the airline is just as bad as the low cost ones. Old aircrafts, canceled and delayed flights. I can see why it’s important for JetBlue to have this merger for their relevance in this field.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
