I applied for and was screened by HR for a Director position. It wasn't a good fit but I was passed over to another VP. I had a phone interview with that VP which went very well. He expressed interest in creating a Director level role for me based on my experience and interests. I received feedback via a 3rd-party recruiter that the company is in the process of creating a req. and will bring me on-site for another interview. Problem: They changed the level to Principal Eng. What should I do?

Help, I made a mistake! A recruiter emailed me and I agreed to a phone interview. I did little research on the company and none on the salary… (I know my mistake) One of the first questions I was asked was about compensation to which I answered 45k-50k. (to quote the recruiter this is a “upper level entry level job”) the recruiter told me the base is $45,500. I got home, did research, and found the company paying the same position 55k on Glassdoor. Is it too late to ask for money?

Any advice for writing a PhD research proposal in international development/ relations?

Can’t decide on a job offer. Currently employed and have been wanting to do something different. The other job offer is pretty much what I make now but I’d be losing on a lot of PTO. I kind of feel really confused about what to do. The hiring manager actually picked up on the fact that I don’t sound super excited for the job. They’ve reached out to me with a promising role but online reviews claim this to be an illegitimate company.
