Support the broader point: I like what I do a lot and don’t have plans to leave anytime soon, but unless you are coming here with a 100% conviction of becoming a Partner and/or pivoting to another industry because you hate tech, I don’t know why you’d want to go from 40h a week to 60+ (at what I would guess is comparable pay)

Consulting is the same for the most part, is there something more specifically that you want to know?

Digital Associate is doing very much the same work with comparable hours as a generalist Associate, just with more of a focus on digital / IT. Only BAs get sponsorship for MBA. I’m a Digital BA so happy to chat more if you’re still interested, though not sure what you’re ultimately solving for.

You’re moving the wrong direction my friend

^ this exactly

Who would do this to themselves. You’re going to go from 35-40 hrs a week to 70+

Here is what your journey would look like: BA -> MBA -> ASC -> …. -> Microsoft/FAANG

Dude, if you go in at the BA level your comp will be half or less of what it is right now 😂

Do yourself a favor and stay at M$

can i get a Microsoft referral 🥺

Moving here from Microsoft is a giant mistake

OP - what group are you in MSFT?

Not a smart move. Unless it’s a plan to really move into business side of things. Digital work is pretty much trying to be a PM in all the wrong ways you can do PM.

omg stay at microsoft. wat?????

DM me 😃

Can you please refer me in Microsoft

Have an interview for an Industrials/ infrastructure equity research associate role this week. Any tips or suggestions that would help me be prepared?

I'm on a conference call right now and I can't understand anythingg that's going on. The content is one thing, but I really can't understand with so many different accents.

Have an offer from Dalberg India. Questioning move as non Indian, esp culture and comp/CoL... Any folks have insight on the firm or those offices? Dalbergers extra welcome.

Has anyone joined meesho recently? I’ve been offered a position of cluster head. Pls suggest how’re the growth opportunities, work life balance and most importantly work culture there?

The walls in my office are made of paper and I can hear my neighboring colleagues clear as day when they’re on the phone. I now dread having to make phone calls because, without rhyme or reason, I HATE people listening to me on the phone regardless of the subject matter. Anyone else have this irrational privacy need? No? Okay 🥺

What's the longest period of time you have had to wait to get credentialed before starting a new position?

WTH do advisory people do? Have some on my initiative work that can't make a slide to save their life... Lower hiring standards? Different skill set?

What would be some common NWC adjustments when asked during an interview?

Even during market disturbance, and much high salary hike we could see that mid level product based companies like Siemens , John Deere Autodesk Amdocs Syngenta VMware haven't yet increased their salary range too much. As some service based companies and start up are ready to counter the offer but companies mentioned above still stick to their salary range stating current market as bubble and they haven't changed their salary range much. What could be the reason?

Do y’all still list Microsoft Office as a skill on your resume? I’ve been leaving it off for space reasons, but also as I figured it’s a given, considering my role and experience. Should I add it?

Anyone in SLC this week?

FS peeps, what are some exit opportunities you've seen colleagues leave for or are interviewing for yourselves?

Sad but enlightened: Read my old texts & realized how awful I was towards those pursuing me after my breakup 😕 When you’re not whole and looking to fill in the blank, you cant be wholesome to others.

I want to go in-house at a relatively high level (GC or report to GC) at a small to mid-size company. Thoughts on when a Corp associate has enough experience to make the move? (More info below)
